Carlos Farinha

Carlos Farinha was born in Santarém, Portugal in 1971. He took a fine art degree in sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lisbon University. His work ranges from painting, drawing, sculpture and performance art and he has exhibited regularly since 1990, having won numerous awards, including the 1st prize at “VIDArte” Farinha was a founder member of “Epipiderme” art project.

In 2007 he started the project entitled “O Mundo à Cabeceira”, focusing his work on ironic social behaviour, with a strong figurative content. From this project came many solo exhibitions. In 2013 “L´extraordinaire Mr Sousa” at The Portugal House in the University city of Paris. In 2014 he exhibited in Macau at Iao Hin Gallery and last year was represented Portugal at ArtBeijing 2018 ( China) Carlos Farinha is now represented in many public and private collections including the Museum of Halabja in Iraq.
