Maria José Cabral

Lisboa (1993)

Maria José Cabral was born in 1993 in Lisbon, the city where she lives and works.

She holds a degree in Sculpture and a master's degree in Painting, both from the Faculty of Fine Arts – UL, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Art Market Management at ISCTE – UL. She has already held several solo and group exhibitions in the cities of Lisbon, Coimbra, Funchal, New York, Madrid, Venice, Rome, and Palermo. In 2018, in Madrid, she received the Woman Art Award. In 2019, she received an Honorable Mention at the Espinho Biennial. She participated in the Venice Biennale with a solo exhibition and was selected as one of the artists featured in the book “100 Artists of the Future,” curated by Contemporary Art Magazine.
