Sara Gonçalves

Born in Porto in 1998, where she lives and works. The artist studied ballet at Ginasiano School of Dance for 12 years, including workshops with the dance company of Pina Bausch and Atterballetto/Fondazione Nazionale della Danza. She attended painting at Soares dos Reis Art School until 2015, after which she continued to paint through self-directed learning. In January 2018, she emigrated to Barcelona, where she lived and worked until August 2020, when she returned to Porto and has been continuing her work there to this day. From December 2021 to January 2022, she exhibited her first solo show, "Inevitável," at the Municipal Library of Santa Maria da Feira. She also started working with the online gallery Steingast Art in Austria in 2021. In 2022, she participated in the Contemporary Art Biennial of Trás-os-Montes and began collaborating with São Mamede Gallery. In 2023, she started working with Rastro Gallery in Figueira da Foz and had multiple participations in group exhibitions, as well as a solo exhibition focused on drawings.
